DIY Madness

DIY. Do-It-Yourself. Everyone who ever surfed a blog or read a fashion magazine has seen some examples for it. The motto is: If you can dream it, you can make it! I must say I am quite a fan of DIY-ing, as my followers on twitter and instagram could have noticed. It is cheap, fun, and original! No one can ever say he has the same item you have, altough it can be inspired on one-another. I wanted to show you the latest projects I have finished.

First up: my masterpiece: A clutch/bag inspired by the American brown paper bags. I made this together with a friend of mine, who is like the most creative, handy person in the world. I found the inspiration on another blog, named All The Good Girls Go to Heaven. (Check the post out here)

The second project I have been working on, were these facet rings. These are made with FIMO clay,  a material that is perfect to make all sorts of shapes. The only thing you have to do is make it and bake it! Again, I found the inspiration on a blog: Operarion DIY (Check the ring-post out here)

The third thing I wanted to show you is this bow tie. It is made of an old book and some old fabric I owned. This DIY was very easy, but of course I didn't come up with the idea myself. I have to thank Jonas, from the blog Yunes, who had made a bow tie like this before.

And the last thing I wanted to show you, is quite an obession of mine. Since I discovered that you can buy pins for brooches in the shop Veritas, I have been glueing those little bastards to everything I found. Here are two examples of brooches I made. Of course, this is the easiest DIY ever, but I love to add a bright accent to my outfit, and these brooches are just perfect for that.

And you? Have you ever made some stuff? Where do you get inspiration? And what do you think about DIY? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!
