As the catwalks of New York's Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2014 are closing it's doors, and the fashionista's packed up their stiletto's to move the circus to London, I am just sitting here behind my desk, undergoing another week of school. I'm happy to know that London is now the place to be, as this city is a little closer to my door than NYC, so it is easier to feel like an imaginary part of the Fashion Weeks.
When I was scrolling trough the pictures of yesterday's shows, my eye fell on a marvelous dress by Mary Katrantzou. I must say, the first thing that popped into my mind, was: 'Mary KatrantWHO? I didn't have a clue about this (relatively) young designer. (shame on me, shows what a fashion rookie I am) After I did some research, I knew she was born in Athens in Greece, and that se already did a collab with Topshop, that selled out like crazy. I am very fond of her (digital) prints and about the amazing cuts the dresses have. There also was a variation between strong, robust silhouettes and feminine, glittering dresses. I really like the whole line! Take a look with me:
