How We Party: Store Opening Julia June

A little more than a week ago, I went to the official opening of the Julia June store on the Brabantdam in Ghent. Remember when I first wrote about the shop, about half a year ago? Well, after working their asses off to get the old bakery fashion-proof for six months, they wanted to throw another party, to celebrate the actual opening. I love how they retained old details of the bakery and integrated them in the new store concept. The boutique, that is surrounded by the chicest stores in Ghent, actually consists of two floors where the clothes are showcased and waiting for you to try them on, and in the basement, there is now a little memorial with pieces from the former bakery.
The store itself is clean, crisp and gorgeous, with a lot of whites, copper detailing (those lamps!), different mirrors and even a bar, where customers can get a little drink when they get thirsty from seeing all those beautiful clothes. Because of course, Julia June is after all a fashion brand, and it has some really cool things to offer. Think pastels combined with blacks, lots of fuzzy, furry materials in all kind of shapes and well cut pieces that instanly become a staple in your wardrobe.
Of course, there were some delicious treats for the attendees, with the cosy and fun truck of Balls&Glory that took care of all grumbling stomachs, and delicious Gin&Tonics (notice how the bottles of gin match the interior!) to refresh the thirsty.

Some balls, a couple of drinks, a handful of friends and lots of amazing clothes, what more does a man need to have a fabulous evening?

Every guest got a personal disposable camera to take some snapshots of the evening/

Amélie Lens took care of the beats, and made sure that the crowd was having a good time!

I really had a great time, thanks Media Mania for the invite and the Julia June crew for the warm welcome!
