How We Party: Zalando Blogger Awards

Do you want to know how bloggers party? Let me tell you: last Thursday, I was invited by UPR to attend the very first edition of the Zalando Blogger Awards in Belgium. Together with my partner in party-crime Ibe I got to 'Paris, Texas' where the festivities took place, and I can assure you: they tought about everything: from a fotobooth with greenscreens (so you could choose your very personal background and setting), over the bites (yummy quiches, tasty little salads and delicious rice dishes) to the drinks (#cointreaufizzcocktailbar, do I need to say more)... Everything was there to have a fabulous evening! And fabulous it was, altough it was a lot more than that: it was hella interesting too! UPR fixed two masterclasses for us, one held by the charming fashion journalist and insider Veerle Windels (who can casually call Diane Von Furstenberg and Tom Ford her friends), who told us all about trends and where they come from, and one with guest speaker Yara Michels, owner of the online fashion and career platform Chapter Friday, who gave us some insider tips and tricks on what to keep in mind when it comes to taking your blog to the next level.

After we took in all the know-how of these two fashion and blogging professionals, it was time for the big reveal of the night: the three winners of the Zalando Blogger Awards. An-Katrien of Teacups and Dresses took away the People's Choice Award, Svea won the Newcomer Award with her blog Les Folies Des XX, and the big winner of the evening was Paulien from Polienne, whom I was secretly hoping and cheering for. She went home with the Jury Award. After the Award Ceremony, it was time to dance the night away with some more beverages, chill beats and fun times. Sounds like a pretty awesome time, no?

The shiny invite, together with some silver details for the night! (Silis bracelets, Sternum necklace)

I'd like to thank UPR and Zalando for the beautiful, buzzing evening, Ibe and so many others - which includes Yara Michels, whom I talked to personally as well - for the inspiring conversations, and you guys for reading and for being a huge inspiration and motivation to keep on going.
