ALL ABOUT MY ELLE INTERVIEW

© Eva Vlonk

Hello everyone! Exciting day today: I'm giving you a little glimpse behind the scenes of my Elle interview! For those of you who didn't know yet: I am in the December issue of Elle Belgium, for the series 'The Power of Make-Up'. The whole feature is like 4 pages long, and I still can't really wrap my mind around it, to be honest. I've said it multiple times before and I'll say it again: I've been subscribed to Elle for about 4 years now, and I always jokingly said: "One day, I'll be in that magazine!" To be now in it, at the age of 18, is literally mindblowing to me.

How did this all happen to me? Well, about a week after my #makeuphasnogender post, I got an e-mail from an Elle beauty journalist, Laure, asking me if I was interested in being part of the December issue. Ehm, HECK YES! Mind you, this was back in August, so I've had to keep this all a secret since then, and I'm telling you, it was one of the hardest things ever to not shout the news from every rooftop in the city.
Back in October, the actual interview took place, at my place. Laure wanted to see my personal bubble, my place where the magic happens (insert winkyface haha). Eva Vlonk, a freelance photographer based in Ghent (negenduust represent!), and I couldn't be happier that she was the one who captured every little moment of this amazing experience for me (and Elle, of course).

There are quite a few people I need to thank, to be honest. Without them, I'd never be where I am right now: my parents, friends (you know who you are), my family, and of course, you, my dear readers. Thank you for all your support, thank you for following me on this crazy journey, thank you for reminding me why I do this. Also: I want to thank Sophie, founder and designer behind Sternum necklaces, for her support, and for gifting me one of her necklaces to shine in on the pictures. Sophie, you don't know what an amazing souvenir you've given me. Love you lots! For now, that's about all I wanted to say! I'll leave you with the pictures, and the reminder that the December issue is now on stands, you can get it EVERYWHERE (like fo real, that thing shows up everywhere, but hey, I don't mind!).
