ANDROGYNY AND BLOODSHOT EYES

Test test, is this thing still on? Well, of course it is, but it has been such a long time since I sat down and wrote something on here that I wonder how the hell this site is still alive *pokes with stick*.
All jokes aside, I'm happy to be back, and I actually have a decent excuse for my absence. About six-seven week ago, I got surgery done on both eyes, which resulted in me looking like a vampire (and not the cute, sparkling Edward Cullen style). My eyes were completely bloodshot and I wasn't allowed to wear any make-up for over a month. Combine those two and you probably get why the creative juices weren't really flowing, or at least, why I didn't really feel like showing my face too much. Now I'm better, though, and my eyes are almost back to normal. I have been planning some cool posts for you guys, so stay tuned for that, coming very soon.

Red eyes and doing the most

Today, I thought it would be fitting to share some results of a photoshoot I did about two weeks ago. My gal Lotte, whom I've known for over 8 years now, is currently studying photography in Brussels, and she needed a model for a school project. The concept was androgynous, genderfluid, and she asked me if I was in for the job. Red eyed and all, I said yes, and we made it work!

For the styling, we went with pieces that were quite minimal and undefined when it comes to gender. I loved how strong and fierce and powerful these outfits made me feel, and how totally at ease I was with myself. That white harness is a current favourite of mine, by the way, I love how versatile and cool it looks. Yes, my eyes were still hella red when we shot these pics, but I kinda love it (that one portrait where I stare straight into the lens is FIRE if you ask me), and it's cool to have these badass looking eyes documented. Special thanks to Lotte Moortgat, the eyes and brain behind this shoot, who turned it the f*ck out and slayed my life. I'm so proud of her chasing her dreams and doing great, and LORD I love it when my friends are thriving, gives me so much life! You can follow her on instagram right here.  Now, I'll leave it at that, scroll down to see some pics of me doing the absolute most and tell me what you think!
